The water district will work this Saturday, July 9 to remove two temporary trailers from the deck near the recently modernized operations building, using a 265-ton crane for the full day job.
Water district raw water and treatment water operators moved into the building last month following the completion of seismic retrofits and are currently running the facility there. The removal of the trailers marks the completion of that particular project.
Contractors will use a total of five trucks for the work, expected to arrive at the gate entrance on Granada Way by 7 a.m. using the route of More Avenue to Roxbury Lane to Wedgewood Avenue and then to Granada. The work will continue until 4 p.m.
The water district will do its best to minimize noise for neighbors along the route. For any concerns while the work is taking place on Saturday, please contact Horace Favaloro at 650-245-6619.
