In an effort to fast track the completion of the Reliability Improvement Project, the water district is extending on a trial basis the work hours of the contractor beginning Monday, June 6.
Over the next three months until Tuesday, Aug. 6, crews will begin work at 7 a.m. and finish at 6 p.m. Currently, the work hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The restrictions imposed on the truck drivers by the district will remain in effect and neighbors are encouraged to report any concerns with speeding or noise to the project’s neighborhood liaison, Public Information Representative Tony Mercado at 408-426-1039.
At the end of this trial period, the water district will evaluate the effect the extended work hours are having on the neighborhood as it determines whether to continue the extended hours indefinitely.
