Join the Santa Clara Valley Water District next week as it formally digs in to kick off the start of construction for the Reliability Improvement Project at the Rinconada Water Treatment Plant.
A groundbreaking celebration takes place Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. in the staging area of the facility located just inside the lower gate entrance off More Avenue. The event will feature remarks from water district officials and the board of directors, followed by a ceremonial shoveling of the soil to mark the work.
We hope you’ll be there to help us celebrate this milestone. But remember, since this is an active construction zone, safety is of the utmost priority. Please don’t wear open toed or high-heeled shoes. And because of the activity, there will be no parking at the treatment plant or, out of respect for our neighbors, along More Avenue. A district shuttle, however, will transport attendees to the treatment plant beginning at 9:30 a.m. Shuttle pick-up is at the Rinconada Center at the corner of Pollard Road and More Avenue next to the Safeway grocery store.
If you plane to attend, please RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 408-630-2342.
